Kilronan Morgan Performance Horse's

Breeding for performance excellence

Simone's Stable

"As riders we cast our hearts over the fences, our horses jump in pursuit of it. That is what a true bond is"

Haymeron Park Peridote "Perri"

Perri being ridden By Aaron Moyes at SIEC Feb 2009 and at home with Simone.

Sired by Karenza Apollo Perri is a 4yo old Lippitt Morgan Gelding he is showing that you dont have to be 17hh to have a talent for eventing.

Perri is currently in work for the 2010 Eventing and Showjumping season. He was recently gelded and we have retained enough frozen semen for our own personal use in the future.

Kilronan Winter Minx "Minx"

Minx As a yearling                                          And as a 2yo at Wizard Lodge.

2.5yo Hanoverian Filly BY Kennordy Willehm out of Chironic Night Storm (QLD PN horse of the year) currently standing at 16.2hh. "Minx" has impeccable blood lines from the Hanoverian W line a floating cadence in all 3 gaits and with a talent for jumping the future is looking very bright for this little star. Minx is currently starting her ridden carrear with Simone and we are looking for great things from her during this season and the next.

Kilronan D'Or "Zack"

Zack as a race horse                      After his 6 weeks spell.

16.2hh 5yo OTTTB Gelding "Zack"

Zack was bred in the USA and raced in Hong Kong wining over 1.8 million dollars before being retired By Street Cry Out of Slamya (Dam sire is Seattle Slew) He is proving to be a perfect gentleman on the ground and under saddle.  Zack will start his competitive carrear next season with Simone.

In the Paddock

Rosebrook Avena "Hanna"

9yo 15.3hh TB mare by Desert Style out of Hot Black. "Hanna" is an Elementry trained mare who succesfully competed at that level before moveing to the breeding paddock she has a temprament and built to make her a prized possesion for any breeding establishment as pictured below being riddem by Matthew for the first time in 2 years. Hanna joined Kilronan as a brood mare for the 2008/09 season, but due to unforseen circumstances she will be re-joining the competition team untill the start of the 09/10 season to gain some fitness and give Matthew some dressage experience.

From the Ashes"Ash"

4yo 12.1hh Australian Stud Book pony "Ash" has been purchased as a project for Matthew to break in and train, Simone will be showing him in hand while she is unable to ride and hopefully he will find himself in a life long home with us at Kilronan to be used as a kids pony later on down the track. Ash is currently in the process of being broken in by Matthew and should be under saddle very shortly.

Past Horses

Poppitt

Poppitt 13.1hh 8mth Australian riding pony was given to Simone's older sister Martina when he was a yearling after the tragic loss of her first pony GB (Grey Bastard) when my sister was taken to a paddock of horses and told to pick a foal for herself by a close family friend they chose poppitt as he was the foal of a horse our mother had once ridden also.  He was broken by our mother and my Sister and competed by my sister around Dgrade EFA and Prelim eventing untill such time that her feet were knocking the rails rather than the horses, I remember the day well when I was told I was allowed to not only ride Poppitt but that he would now be mine and I was 7yo Poppitt gave me all the confidence in the world and took me around some massive XC courses and SJ courses for a 13.1hh pony and young girl and I eventually took that knoweledge and confidence onto my larger horses when Poppitt was sold to Colleen Brooks after her 3rd attempt to buy him.

Forign Campaign

"Jacko" 15.1hh 8yo QH Gelding was purchased by Simone at the tender age of 13yo from the funds that she recieved from the sale of her first horse. Jacko was a green broken QH gelding 8yo who had no more than 8hr stock work under his belt before he was taken on by simone. In a matter of years he had not only progressed to Restricted Novice Eventing and jumping succesfully around EFA D/C combined classes and placing at the Royal Easter show in the PC mount and winning the sporting classes. Jacko was also a member of the State PC ODE team and Mounted games team. Jacko was sold on when Simone was 16yo so she could move on to a bigger horse and most recently has been seen at Moore Park stables teaching city kids how to jump, I have also spoken to many people who attribute there humble beginings with jumping and further progression into eventing to the confidence given by this wonderful horse.

Husqvana

15.3hh 4yo TB Gelding Husky was unfortunatly lost due to injury way to early in his journey he had a wonderful flair for jumping and on the flat and placed 3rd in the D grade at the Sydney Jump Club End of year Championships as his first propper event and placed highly in several Intro and Prelim HT. He have very making of a superstar but unfortunatly due to a tragic paddock accident he tore the ligaments of the bone, and was retired early.

Shartruse Nights

15.2hh 3yo WB Mare Sharnie was purchased buy myself as a 3yo unbroken Filly and was broken and trained to the point where I had decided that she would not be suitable for what I was looking for. I then sold her onto my mother who now trains and competes her in Dressage and Eventing they are a great team and hopefully one day we will be allowed to use her in our breeding program.

Artemis

16.2hh 7yo TB Gelding I purchased Arnie from QLD as a replacement horse for Sharnie, while he was supposed to have some experience we soon found that he had none. So we worked with this young horse off the track and got him going to the stage where last season he confidently did his first PN event and was training over 1* and 2** fences with many placings along the way. He was sold due to financial pressures and Emily Kendall now gets excellent use out of him as a school horse for her young friends.

Shabooh Shoobah

16hh Tb 13yo Gelding Shabooh Shoobah was given to me in 2005 by Charlott Riseman as a horse to go on with and get some bigger jumping in on. Boo is the first horse I have ever ridden that I had not taught to jump myself,  He was experienced in eventing up to 2** level but was better remembered as an extreamly dificult horse to ride hence he was not sold, and I later found out that most people remember seeing him slide down the hill at the main water at SIEC after failing to jump a 2** fence, Boo's problems had been seen by my mother before and with her assistance he became a wontderful confidence building horse while never being easy so to speak. He gave me a world of experience while not many achievements to speak of he had me confidently competing at PN level but alwayse adding his own flair to the dressage (that not many Dressage judges seem to appriciate). I have recently sold Boo to a 16yo Showjumper Tyson King so that he might have the experience that Boo gave me and he is doing very well.

Haymeron Park Kentucky Man

15.1hh 4yo Morgan Gelding Tuck was sent to me to compete by my close friend's Joanne and Rick Hayes from Haymeron Park, while with me Tuck was a wonderful horse who learn his craft well and had a wonderful work ethic, he was competing Intro eventing and training PN very early on and had a flair for the sport, I constantly wished he was a mare so that I could buy him and use him in my breeding program, thankfully I know have a Stallion by the same sire. Tuck went home for a well earned spell and was sold from there and unfortunatly only had the one season with me.

Kilronan Clockworks

15.3hh 4yo TB Gelding Blade came to me in the usual fashion, Race horse owner offering him to the bartender at his local and that happened to be me, we were in no way looking for another horse but I told Matt that if the owners questioned me about it when the horse actually finished racing that I would go and have a look. When we looked at him we fell in love instantly with his stunning looks wonderful temprament and natural ability he has wonderful scope and a true talent for eventing and competed succesfully at Intro level before EI with myself scoring up to 69% in the dressage phase. After EI the decision was made when I had a broken arm to sell him and he is currently with Courtney Larard in the hunter competing elementry Dressage and winning at Jump club while preparing for his first Prelim start..

Kilronan Catalyst

Jimmy is an 9yo TB gelding that last raced on the 20th of August 2008 I purchased him from a friend who had decided not to keep him as she had become pregnant, We brought him home and he proved to be a lovley quiet horse unfortunatly I found out that I was pregnant during his spell off the track and we decided that a green unknown horse was not a good option for me to be riding at the time. This is where Danielle came into the picture, Danielle was a friend of Simone's who she approached to ask if she was interested in riding Jimmy and they soon formed a great partnership, so much so that within 5 months Simone gave in and sold Jimmy to Danielle so that she could start to compete on her own horse, they are working towards PreNovice and we wish them all the luck possible.
