Also new agister Jordan Priest was lucky enough to get a ride on him and have a jump also.... Now I am looking forward to taking him to jump club if the weather holds out!! :D

All things are going ahead for the Morgan natnioals I am almost finished the fancy dress costume and Dressage freestyle so it should be a really fun weekend away!! Can't wait.
26th January 2010
First things first, HAPPY NEW YEAR and HAPPY AUSRALIA DAY!
Recently we have had a lot happening here at Kilronan, due to an impending move at the end of 2010 we have had to make a few big decisions. The first of all is that Haymeron Park Peridote has been gelded, never fear all those who have been hanging out for a Peridote baby we have limitid stocks in storage and will be producing Peridote foals in the next few years!!!!
The second is to sell our Broodmare "Hanna" I have no doubt that she will make a very nice addition for someone's brood mare paddock.
Minx is going well under saddle and may attend her first competition in a few months time. Zack had a brief trip to Canberra where he was ridden by Fiona Little and has now returned home for a bit of a spell and then I will take over his training and competition.
William the #1 son is going great now 5 months old and keeping Mum and Dad on their toes!! Anyway it is 38 degrees here and the horses must still be worked so I had better get to it.
Bye for now.

Zack had a small paddock injury so has had a couple of weeks off but will be coming back into work this week with Simone to start his training.

Wow it has only been a month since the last update and we have been so busy. William Monaghan is now 9 weeks old and going strong he is now cooing at anyone who will listen to him. Minx has been backed and is starting well under saddle with Wayne and Perry is booked in to go in for a refresher after a 9 month spell in 2 weeks time.
Simone has been competing Sharnie in an effort to get back into the swing of competition after her C/Section placing in the 65cm Showjumping at HRC then placing in the 75cm Senior Equitation at the State Equitation Championships where Sharnie also placed in the classic jumper class, Simone is now looking forward to Berima horse trials with Sharnie to finish of her very short season.

Danielle Webster and Kilronan Catalyst also placed in the 75cm Senior Equitation at the State Championships and we are very proud of them not to mention happy for them to be doing so well together.
Last week we introduced a new horse to the team with the inclusion of OTTTB "Zack" who we are going to give some work and see where his talents lie for more information check the Stable page.

21-August-09
We had a sad goodbye to Jimmy today when Danielle picked him and the float up after his spell to move them to their new home. We look forward to seeing them out and about later in the season and hope that Jimmy is everything Danielle wanted ane more.
Danielle and Jimmy leaving in their new horse float.
12-August-09
Well we have had some exciting changes recently at Kilronan, Simone still with 11 days to go before she is due to give birth has sadly made the decision to sell Kilronan Catalyst to our young rider Danielle Webster who took over ownership of not only our lovly "Jimmy" but she also purchased our little float. Danielle will hopefully be a force to be reconed with in the next few years with her beautiful boy and we wish them all the best.
With the float gone, we have made the decision to buy a truck and once fitted out we plan to have it ready for the start of the 2010 season, untill then we will using the "Wizard Lodge" horse float.
With both Simone and Matthew currently on leave waiting for the arrival of their first child, we have finally managed to get the time to put together a Stallion DVD of Haymeron Park Peridote to be sent out to mare owners, so please feel free to ask for one if you are interested in breeding to our boy this season. We look forward to having much more footage to put into it next year with Simone, now planning to focus mainly on the training and competing of Peridote.
Hopefully in the next post I will be showing off photos of the newest member of the Kilronan team.

10-July-09 XC Training
Last weekend Matthew decided that he would like to start some jumping training on Kilronan Catalyst AKA "Jimmy", and after a few warm up fence and some instruction from Simone he started showing some very nice form jumping Jimmy over approx 90cm and have a great time.

On Sunday we took matthew and Jimmy for some XC training and they again showed a great partnership by jumping a few of the PN fecnes at the local grounds.

Next up Danielle is taking Jimmy to do her and Jimmy's first newcommers class at Berrima horse trials in 2 weeks and we look froward to seeing how the pair go!!
3-July-09
Not alot has been happening this month, Last month Danielle completed her first Horse Trials at Hoofbeats on Jimmy and the pair went very well and we are looking for big things in the future from them.
Also recently Danielle took Jimmy to a Dressage day at the hawksbury riding club where she went very well and Jimmy is begining to settle and become quite well behaved while out in company as well as getting over the stress that competition can place on a green horse. We are very happy with how they both preformed and it has given us some pointers for Danielle and Jimmy to work on before her first open horse trials at Berrima where she will be competing in the Newcommers class.
Matthew has also taken up lessons with top eventing rider Christopher Burton and riding Hanna with a view to competing at Hidden Valley horse trials later in the year where Simone also hopes to be competing on Jimmy for the first time after the impending birth of their first child.

13-6-09
As you may have noticed it has been all quiet on the western front here at Kilronan during my pregnancy, I am curently 30 weeks and can't wait to get back into the saddle.
First the really good news, we have recently found out that our own baby will be a bouncing baby BOY!
Haymeron Park Peridote "Perri" has been going well and enjoying his extended spell, after a minor scare last week that involved a sleepless night or 2 for Matthew and I all is well and he will come back into work once I have recovered from having our first baby.
Danielle Webster who has been working Kilronan Catalyst "Jimmy" had a great day XC training today at the KRC grounds with Martina and Mum and will be attending her first horse trials with "Jimmy" At Hoofbeats, located at the Vines PC grounds tomorrow, this will also be his first horse trials so we wish them lots of luck and a safe and sucessful ride. Danielle has a few events planned to do on Jimmy in the coming months and I am starting to think I may find it hard to get this horse back off her after the baby.
Kilronan Winter Minx "Minx"has been booked to go to trainer Wayne Austin in September for breaking, we expect that she will be a large almost 17hh by this stage and look forward to getting her home and into training for the young horse dressage classes next year.
Rosebrook Avena "Hanna" is unfortunatly no longer in foal this season. Unfortunatly this happens in breeding and we have decided that she will come into work for the remainder of the year, to improve her fitness for next season and may possibly do an event or 2 with Simone at the end of the year.
From the Ashes "Ash" has been coming along with his training, since his arrival at Kilronan he has gone from a horse that could not be caught to a pony that is activly seeking out human attention and can be caught in a several acre paddock. His training with Matthew is coming along and he is long reining and is ready to be backed once we have an oppertunity to take him over to Redleaf Lodge to use their round yard.
Till next time
Simone & Matthew

Haymeron Park Peridote attended his first event at Sydney International Equestrian centre on the weekend in the newcommers, for a first outing he had a great day with his rider Aaron Moyes and was bumped out of a top 10 finish by a unfortunat runout in the CC phase. We are however completly happy with him and how he went, proving himself a great jumping horse and a contender to look out for in the future.
5-2-2009
Hanna has shown a positive scan and is in foal to our Haymeron Park Peridote, this will be his first foal and we are all eagerly waiting to see what the combination will produce.
30-1-2009
We at Kilronan are proud to announce that Simone Monaghan is do to have her very own baby in August this year, unfortunatly this means that Simone will not be competing this season. Haymeron Park Peridote has been sent to Redleaf Lodge to finish his preperation for the Sydney Horse trials in Feb and will then be spellted till September, Jimmy is being 1/2 leased to a local girl Dan Webster who will be riding him on and off and possibly going to a few comps till Simone can ride again.
We at Kilronan would like to wish everyone a HAPPY and MERRY Christmas and we hope to see you out and about in the new year.

This weekend we were looking for another outing for Haymeron Park Peridote, so we decided to attend the Blacktown Gymkhana and take Peridote in his open galloway led classes. Well to our delight Peridote placed 1st in the Led Galloway Stallion class, and topped it off with Reserve Champion led Galloway. We were more than delighted with his behaviour and attitude with the whole event and could hav not been happier to come home with a broad sash.

16.11.2008
Well after a long break from doing anything On Thursday I finally decided that after having a terrible week I needed some stupidity, so I decided to take my Haymeron Park Peridote for a 6hr round trip to pop him in his Morgan Led class at Queanbeyan show (we don’t get many opportunities for showing) So we left the paddock at 4.30 with horse on the float, washed and clean but pretty under prepared for a show, I.e. he had not been trotted out for god knows how long nor had we had standing lessons for more than 2 years. after a long trip we got there 30 min before our class so terribly late and no time to finish plaiting or do proper makeup or lunge him, so after some bodgie makeup and shocking folding of plaits we went out to the rings.....
Well I must say aside from not standing perfectly still or up properly and getting away from me a little in the work out and having to stop and circle he was a perfect gentleman. Not bad for a rising 4yo entire who has not been out to a comp in 2 years and it was only his second one at that!!!

Thankfully Matthew has arrived home safe and sound from his delpoyment last weekend, and has started his Cricket Season this year as captain of his team. All the horses are going well aside from a few injuries to myself and a mnior paddock injury all is well.
Rosebrook Avena
We are proud to announce the arrival of Rosebrook Avena a 7yo Tb mare, she has competed at Intro Evnting and novice dressage and will not only serve as one of our foundation mares but will also be use as a ridden horse for Matthew when he returns home.
Goodbye Blade
We recently said a sad goodbye to Blade who has gone to Courtney Larard who will be eventing him and we wish her all the luck possible with him and hope he is everything she wanted and expected.
A new arrival at Kilronan
We are proud to announce the arrival of Kilronan Winter Minx a Hanoverian filly from QLD who will become a competition horse for Simone and later form an integral part of our breeding programme Minx's blood lines include Ludendorf and Winterkeonig, she is purpose bred for Eventing and Dressage and has the movement to inspire even the most unforgiving dresage judge. We are waiting with baited breath for the truck to arrive.
